At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Su-phan Ha-Dao-Huong expressed his joy and excitement for the sincere and warm welcome of the leader of Quang Binh province. The Consul General appreciated the help of Quang Binh province in the past time, especially in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.

In the atmosphere of friendship and solidarity, Mr. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho An Phong informed Mr. Consul General of the Lao PDR in Da Nang about the achievements in socio-economic development of Quang Binh province, especially efforts to recover economic sectors after the Covid-19 pandemic. Mr. Ho An Phong reviewed a number of cooperation events between Quang Binh province and other provinces of Laos in the past time. Accordingly, from the beginning of 2023 until now, there have been 26 delegations from Laos to visit and work in Quang Binh province and 12 delegations from Quang Binh province to visit and work in Laos.

In the academic year 2021-2022, there are 199 Lao officials and students studying in training institutions in the province. It is expected that Quang Binh will continue to receive and support training for 80 officials and students of Khammuane, Savannakhet, Champasak, Saravane, and Xaysomboun come to study at universities and colleges in the province in the academic year 2022-2023.
Currently, Quang Binh province is carrying out relevant procedures to implement a number of projects to support Laos, such as the project to build a high school for ethnic minorities in Khammuane province, and the Thong Nhat secondary school of the Vietnamese Association in Khammuane province.

In addition, Quang Binh province suggests the Politburo, the Government, relevant ministries, and branches of Vietnam support the implementation of the AMI Savannakhet wind power project, and the Lao side support and create favorable conditions to allow project implementation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in the coming time, the Party Committee and government of Quang Binh province will continue to direct agencies and departments in the province to actively cooperate comprehensively with the neighboring provinces of Laos; since then, building and developing the traditionally close relationship for sustainable development. He also wished that, in the coming time, on the basis of the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries of Vietnam and Laos in general, Quang Binh province and the localities of Laos in particular, will create more comprehensive and greater cooperation results.
