Conical hat appeared in Quy Hau village for about 70-80 years ago. In 2008, Quy Hau is one of three trade villages recognized by the Quang Binh provincial People's Committee as a traditional trade village.

At present, Quy Hau has 964 households with 3,439 persons, of which there are more than 600 households making conical hat.

So far, Quy Hau conical hat is present throughout the country, from the north to south, from central region to neighbouring countries.

Quy Hau conical hat is not delicate as Bai Tho conical hat of Hue, but it is famous for attractive, delicate and durable beauty.
