Traditional handicraft villages
Like other regions, Quang Binh province has its own famous handicraft villages whose creation and development have a close relation with local communities’ lifestyle.
Canh Duong commune (Quang Trach district), Bao Ninh commune, Quang Phu commune (Dong Hoi city) are villages famous for high-quality seafood produces.
Quang Van commune and Tho Don commune (Quang Trach district) are famous for their rattan products.
An Xa village (Le Thuy district) is well-known for matting covers; Quy Hau village (Le Thuy district) and Tho Ngoa village (Quang Trach district) for conical hats.
Mai Hong village (Bo Trach district) is famous for forging and casting.
Tan An village (Quang Trach district) is well-known for rice vermicelli and cakes, etc.
These traditional products entail not only functional values but also cultural values which are worth to preserve and develop.
