HAC HAI LAGOON 

Situated in the end of Kien Giang River, where borders with Le Thuy and Quang Ninh districts (Quang Binh province), Hac Hai Lagoon is the biggist lagoon in Quang Binh province.

It’s about 27km from Dong Hoi city to the south. The Lagoon is abundant in fishes of all kinds. Delicious fish, shrimps and crabs can be found here.

The scenery at the lagoon is really as unique and beautiful as that of the Five Lakes.

Hac Hai lagoon has an area of about 12 square kilometers with a depth of 1.5-3 meters. The lagoon is the brackish water with a salinity of 15-20%.

Hundreds of households around Hac Hai lagoon are specialized in catching fish to supply a large number of seafood for Dong Hoi market.

Hac Hai lagoon is very convenient for developing the vegetation which is used for making sedge mat.

In the bottom of Hac Hai lagoon has also many seaweeds that the local people exploits as a kind of fertilizer for vegetables.
