In addition, Quang Binh boasts its own traditional culture with distinct features reflected by the festivals of Boi Trai (traditional Boating) held on September 2nd according to solar calendar in Dong Hoi city and Le Thuy district, Cau Mua (Good Crop Wishing) in Bao Ninh commune (Dong Hoi city), Cau Ngu (Prosperous Fishing) in Canh Duong commune (Quang Trach district), mid-March festival in Minh Hoa district and many myths and legends.

Quang Binh still retains local folk songs such as ho khoan tune of Le Thuy district or sim singing of Bru-Van Kieu ethnic and traditional musical instruments of khen (trumpet), to troi ban (pipe instrument), flute, drum and gong Macoong - Bo Trach. Especially is Ca Tru (sing Tru) in Dong Duong village, Quang Phuong commune, Quang Trach district. It’s a cultural values which are worth to preserve and develop.
