Lieu Hanh Princess Temple

(Quang Binh Website) - Princess Lieu Hanh is one of the four immortals and also a leading figure in the mother goddess cult, in which she governs the celestial realm.

A temple to worship Princess Lieu Hanh is about 300 metres in the southwest of Hoanh Son gate. The temple, built in 1557 (the post-Le dynasty), faces the East Sea. During Tet (lunar traditional New Year Festival), local fishermen burned incenses at the temple and pray for luck.

The temple has an area of about 335 square meters with a unique architecture, expressing the solemnity of the temple.

Lieu Hanh Princess temple is in the cluster of cultural and historical sites of Ngang Pass (Hoanh Son gate, Hoan Vuong rampart, Vinh Son communal house and Hon La). This is a cultural relic cluster that hides many potential for socio-economic development of the province.

Lieu Hanh Princess temple in Ngang Pass is a mother goddess temple in Quang Binh and becomes a form of cultural and religious activities for the people in Quang Binh in particular and the country in general.
