Over 3,000 local, foreign runners to compete in Quang Binh Int'l Marathon
More than 3,000 national and international marathoners have registered to participate in the Quang Binh International Marathon 2024, the first of its kind to be held in Dong Hoi city, central Vietnam, on July 28.
Participants will run in four categories of five km, 10km, 21km, and 42km.
Runners will travel through several famous sightseeing spots in the central province of Quang Binh, including Ho Chi Minh Square, Nhat Le 1 Bridge, Tam Toa Church, Quang Binh Gate, and Nhat Le beach.
Over 80 prizes will be awarded to the winners of the different categories. In addition, 24 teams from many localities nationwide will vie for an open marathon cup which aims to strengthen solidarity, boost the sports movement, and offer wonderful experiences to many runners.
The tournament, to be jointly organised by the Quang Binh Department of Culture and Sport and Bolt Event Joint Stock Company, aims to promote the local tourism industry and create a safe and high-quality playground for both local and foreign athletes.
It is part of activities underway to celebrate 420 years of Quang Binh province.
