General Vo Nguyen Giap's devotion to science-technology, culture and art
Since Viet Nam became a peaceful, unified and independent country, General Vo Nguyen Giap was assigned by the government and the Party to he in charge of science and technology affairs. These responsibilities were new to him, yet with his inquiring mind, General Vo Nguyen Giap gradually led the young science and technology of Viet Nam to be on par with countries in the region and the world. His contribution to Ho Chi Minh Thought has been strategic and crucial to the construction and protection of the national sovereignty.
